About Shawn
Through weaving the experiences from early childhood, hip-hop dance, a flair for the dramatics, and the love and passion of a great story, Shawn has taken his unique style of storytelling on the road trying to reach as many communities as possible with the goal of helping children to foster the deep appreciation of storytelling, reading and writing.
Shawn was formerly the site director for the Live and Learn After School Program in Lee, New Hampshire and has worked in Early Childhood Education for 9 years. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with an Associate Degree in Business and a Bachelor Degree in Social Work.
In the Fall of 1998, Shawn started his own Storytelling business. He has done over 1,000 performances at schools, libraries, early learning centers, and festivals. He has been the artist in residence at several elementary schools throughout New England. He has also presented workshops on storytelling all over New England.
